Do you enjoy being outside and love our community? Join NSEA in restoring local watersheds by attending a community work party! This winter, we will be planting trees and removing invasive weeds along salmon bearing streams throughout Whatcom County and returning to mature restoration sites to remove cages and blue tubes. All ages welcome, no experience necessary, and we provide all the tools and instructions you need to improve salmon habitat.

View upcoming volunteer events here, and stay tuned for our full spring work party schedule!

NSEA is hosting our 15th annual Fish Trivia event on Wednesday, February 19th! Gather your team of 1-6 people and join us for an exciting evening of fantastic fish facts, drinking delicious beer by Bellingham-owned Fountain Brewing, and bringing our community together in support of local salmon recovery efforts. For the fourth year in a row, Zeeks Pizza (2416 Meridian St, Bellingham) will host and donate $1 per pint purchased. Trivia is $5 per person to play, and proceeds will benefit NSEA’s education and stewardship programs. Doors and registration open at 5pm, trivia begins promptly at 6pm. Cash is preferred!
